Botulinum Toxin
Botulinum toxin is a naturally occurring protein produced by the bacterium clostridium botulinum. In a purified form, the botulinum toxin is a very safe, effective treatment to significantly reduce the movement of the muscles causing expression lines. All botulinum toxins are prescription only medications.

How Does It Work?
You will first have a thorough consultation to discuss the treatment. If suitable and once consented, your face will be cleaned and botulinum toxin will be injected into your muscles using a very fine needle. It usually only takes a couple of minutes. You will not see a change straight away, it takes around 5-10 days to activate. You will have a review appointment or check at 14 days where you will receive extra injections if required.

How long do results last?
Results last 3-4 months. Depending on severity of wrinkles, sessions can be 4-6 monthly. This is all discussed in an in-depth consultation.
